I studied Communication at the University of Southern Alabama. I have always acted as a teacher of sorts in my personal life but never formally taught until I was in college. I have come to believe that the field of Communication is one of the real keys to all learning, as concepts cannot be understood by anyone if they are not communicated properly. My goal is to spread the skills to both write and speak succinctly by connecting on a personal level with each individual student and finding out what makes them tick. Finding out what someone is passionate about can go a long way into developing their communication skills. I can also help students write essays and papers they are assigned by their teachers that cover topics they may not care as much about, as so often is the case. I understand that everyone has different interests and learns in different ways but I am dedicated to finding out what works best for each student and tailoring my lessons to them. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by running or playing soccer, golf, or baseball. I also love cooking, watching movies, and spending time with my dog.
